  • Not be under the age of 18 by March 31, 2022 (high school graduates by April 1, 2022, can apply even if they are under 18 years old. )

Not eligible if fall under one of the following conditions:

  • Military personally or military-civilian employees.
  • Can not arrive in Japan in the expected duration specified by MEXT (April 1, 2022).
  • Recipient of Japanese government MEXT Scholarship.
  • Scheduled/currently enrolled at a university in Japan with a college student residency status. This does not apply to self-financed students who complete their studies by March 2022.
  • Those who want to get scholarships from any other organization
  • Those who plan during the application to do long-term research outside Japan (long time absence).

  • High school graduation certificate or certificate of expected graduation date.
  • High school verification.
  • Passport.
  • Application form for GSEP (completed and duly signed by the applicant)
  • Questionnaire.
  • Check Sheet.
  • Photocopy of TOEFL, TOEIC or IELTS Test score.
  • Fee payment verification.
